What are the
benefits of an automatic irrigation system?
Irrigation systems can disperse water to your lawn evenly and
regularly. This system uses less water than conventional
sprinklers. You can also choose to water at off times, such as
at dawn, when water use by other systems is the lowest.
What is
fertigation?
Fertigation is a sprinkler system that incorporates irrigation
with fertilization. We install a fertilizer tank in your
watering system. When the water comes on, your lawn gets
fertilized. No more messy bags of fertilizer and the trouble of
putting it on your lawn!
What kind of
maintenance is required if I have an irrigation system?
Typically, we need to maintain your system at least twice a
year. It needs to be opened in the spring after the frost is
gone, and winterized. Winterization requires blowing all water
out of the system so the pipes won't freeze and get damaged.
If you
have a fertigation system, we also need to add fertilizer during
the spring and summer months.
Can I set up
my system to water when I want to water?
Your
irrigation system will be on a timer. You can set the timer to
water at any time of day. You can set it to water on alternate
days if restrictions are set by your community. You can even set
different zones to water on different days.
What is a rain
sensor?
A rain
sensor is set up with your system so that if there has been
adequate rain to water your lawn, the irrigation system will not
turn on automatically. If the lawn is already wet, it does not
need to be watered.
